Roger Waters, el alma creativa y fuerza compositiva de Pink Floyd, anuncia el lanzamiento de su primer álbum de rock en 25 años: Is This The Life We Really Want? El disco estará disponible para reserva a partir de mañana 21 de abril de 2017 y saldrá a la venta el viernes 2 de junio a través de Columbia Records. Además, Waters comenzará la gira US + Them en Kansas City (Missouri) el próximo viernes 26 de mayo, con la que recorrerá Estados Unidos y Canadá hasta el 28 de octubre (Ver fechas más abajo).
El último álbum de estudio publicado por Roger Waters hasta la fecha, Amused To Death (1992) fue un estudio premonitorio de la cultura popular, en el que exploraba el poder de la televisión en la época de la Primera Guerra del Golfo. El esperado nuevo material de Waters, Is This The Life We Really Want?, es una mirada inquebrantable al mundo moderno y estos tiempos de incertidumbre: un álbum que llega como el sucesor natural de clásicos de Pink Floyd como Animals y The Wall.
Producido y mezclado por Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Beck, U2, “From the Basement”), Is This The Life We Really Want? incluye doce nuevas composiciones e interpretaciones de estudio de Roger Waters. El álbum físico estará disponible en una edición desplegable de doble vinilo de 180 gramos y en un CD en formato soft-pack de cuatro paneles. El disco estará disponible para reserva a partir del 21 de abril, tanto en formato físico como digital.
